Measurement Moves To The Floor

Kinvent Evolution Pack

One addition changes the character of this rung: the K-Force Plates. Every sensor below it reads something held in the hand or braced against a limb. The plates read vertical force under each foot, at a capacity Kinvent list as up to approximately 600 kg per platform, which is why the same pair records a quiet standing trial, a loaded squat and an isometric mid-thigh pull without a change of equipment.

The buyer for this pack is the clinician whose caseload has grown past the upper limb and who now wants standing balance and left-to-right weight distribution recorded with the same rigour as a grip reading. This is also the rung where the software moves. The year of Kinvent Physio included here sits on the PREMIUM tier, one step above the tier the two packs below it carry. Six terminals, six profiles, group training, group export of reports and Smart Mode across five sensors arrive together with the sixth sensor. Hardware and licence step up at the same moment, which happens nowhere else on this ladder.

The Middle Of The Table

Where the software ladder turns

Kinvent publish a feature table across Starter, Premium and Excellence. Four rows switch on at Premium, and every one of them comes with the subscription year that ships in this pack.

👥
Group training
Group training is included from Premium upward and absent from Starter. It is the first row in the table that assumes more than one person in the room at once, which is the difference between a treatment slot and a squad screening morning.
Premium onwards
📤
Group export of reports
Reports for a whole group export together on this tier. For a clinic sending summaries to a referrer every week, that row saves more working time than any hardware line in the pack.
Premium onwards
🧠
Smart Mode
Kinvent list Smart Mode across five sensors from this tier. The pack holds six, so a protocol meant to run every unit at once is worth planning against that published ceiling before the session is booked.
5 sensors
📱
Terminals and profiles
Both figures double on arrival at Premium, from three to six, and both reach twenty on Excellence. One number counts devices signed in to the licence, the other counts the profiles it holds.

Sensor Detail

The plates first, then the five they join

Kinvent K-Force Plates, a pair of portable force platforms
The defining addition

K-Force Plates

A pair of portable platforms that measure vertical force under each foot and report how a load is shared between the two sides. Kinvent list a capacity of up to approximately 600 kg per platform, which is the figure that lets the same pair take a quiet standing trial and then a loaded squat. Listed at 11.02 lbs and 19.69 x 5.91 x 15.75 in, they move between a treatment room, a gym floor and a field session. Full detail sits on the K-Force Plates page.

  • Vertical force under each foot, one platform per side
  • Capacity up to approximately 600 kg per platform
  • Listed weight 11.02 lbs, dimensions 19.69 x 5.91 x 15.75 in
  • Reads live in the Kinvent app, which writes the report afterwards

Protocols

Balance, movement and the isometric battery

Kinvent group the plate protocols three ways. Balance covers bilateral and single-leg stance under static conditions, with the Romberg test comparing eyes open against eyes closed. Functional work covers squats, sit-to-stand, single-leg squats, the push-up force test and the Bridge Hamstrings Test. Isometric testing runs the IMTP, the ASH Test, the Isometric Bridge and the McCall Test. That is the part of a caseload the five sensors below could watch but not count.

  • Bilateral and single-leg balance, plus landing stability
  • Romberg test for visual dependency, eyes open against eyes closed
  • Squat, sit-to-stand, single-leg squat, push-up force test, Bridge Hamstrings Test
  • IMTP, ASH Test, Isometric Bridge and McCall Test
  • Relative strength normalized to body weight, and Limb Symmetry Index

The five sensors the plates join

Nothing from the rung below is dropped. K-Push reads isometric strength through compression, published up to 90 kg with 0.1 kg accuracy from two flat 50 kg load cells. K-Pull reads tensile force along an anchored line for the mid-thigh pull and the Nordic hamstring test. K-Grip returns peak grip force from a two-second squeeze. K-Bubble converts controlled air pressure into muscle activation, strength and endurance figures. K-Move measures joint angle to better than 0.5 degrees from a nine-degree-of-freedom inertial unit.

  • K-Push, isometric compression, up to 90 kg at 0.1 kg accuracy
  • K-Pull, tensile force, isometric and dynamic
  • K-Grip, peak grip force, isometric holds and repetition sets
  • K-Bubble, pressure through an inflatable accessory
  • K-Move, joint angle better than 0.5 degrees, 7-hour battery

Portability

Six sensors and the bag that carries them

A duffle bag is itemised with this pack, and it is the unglamorous half of the upgrade. Five of the six sensors are listed between 2.2 lbs and 4.41 lbs, the plates at 11.02 lbs, and every one of them pairs wirelessly to a phone or tablet. Nothing in the set needs a base unit or a mains socket, so the working kit for a club visit is the bag and a screen.

  • Duffle bag itemised with the six sensors
  • K-Grip and K-Move listed at 2.2 lbs, K-Pull at 2.84 lbs
  • K-Push at 3.54 lbs, K-Bubble at 4.41 lbs, plates at 11.02 lbs
  • Wireless pairing to the Kinvent app on a phone or tablet

Where It Gets Used

The jobs Kinvent put these sensors to

Kinvent name clinics, rehabilitation centers, the field, gyms and laboratories as the settings, and physical therapists, sports performance staff, physicians, researchers and patients as the users.

🛡️
Injury prevention
Screening balance, force production and side-to-side distribution before a problem shows up in training.
🩺
Rehabilitation monitoring
Repeating the same protocol through a rehab block so progress is a number rather than a judgement call.
🔁
Return-to-sport decisions
Single-leg trials, landing stability and the Limb Symmetry Index give the discharge conversation something to sit on.
🏆
Sports performance testing
The IMTP and the rest of the isometric battery, with relative strength normalized to body weight for squad comparison.
🔋
Fatigue monitoring
Kinvent list neuromuscular fatigue detection for the plates and name grip strength as a fatigue indicator on K-Grip.
🔬
Clinical and research use
Force and kinematic data for biomechanics studies, taken at the tolerances Kinvent publish for each sensor.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Six sensors, a bag and a software year: the K-Force Plates, K-Push, K-Pull, K-Move, K-Grip with its accessory, K-Bubble, a duffle bag, and a one-year Kinvent Physio subscription on the PREMIUM tier. The SKU is 15-4382.
Two things. The K-Force Plates and the duffle bag are the hardware additions, and the licence moves from Starter to Premium. The five sensors in the Starter Pack all carry over unchanged.
Vertical force under each foot, and everything Kinvent derive from it: center of pressure and CoP velocity, the confidence ellipse for postural sway magnitude, the Romberg ratio, maximum strength, weight distribution, relative strength normalized to body weight, and the Limb Symmetry Index. Full detail is on the K-Force Plates page.
Kinvent publish up to approximately 600 kg per platform. That is why a quiet standing trial and a loaded squat run on the same pair. They give the number as an approximation and we publish it that way.
PREMIUM, for one year, as this listing states. It is the middle of Kinvent's three tiers, one step above the Starter tier that the Discovery and Starter packs carry, and one below the Excellence tier on the Advanced Pack.
Four published rows switch on at Premium: group training, group export of reports, Smart Mode across five sensors and the Premium protocol library. Terminals and profiles both step from three to six.
No. Kinvent publish no sampling frequency and no measurement accuracy figure for the K-Force Plates, and we will not quote a number they have not stated. What they do publish for the plates is the capacity of approximately 600 kg per platform, the listed weight of 11.02 lbs and the dimensions of 19.69" x 5.91" x 15.75". If you need a sampling rate in writing for a research protocol, ask us and we will put the question to Kinvent.
Two. K-Push is published at 0.1 kg across a range up to 90 kg, and Kinvent state it was validated against an Electroforce testing system. K-Move is published at better than 0.5 degrees with minimal drift over time. For K-Pull, K-Grip, K-Bubble and the plates, Kinvent publish no accuracy figure.
Yes. Every sensor in this pack has its own RFA listing, each with its own SKU: K-Push 15-4342, K-Grip 15-4343, K-Bubble 15-4344, K-Force Plates 15-4345, K-Move 15-4346 and K-Pull 15-4347. What the pack adds on top of the six units is the duffle bag and the twelve months of Kinvent Physio.
Kinvent publish no capacity or dimension figure for it. It is itemised as one bag supplied with the six sensors, and we list it exactly as it is itemised rather than estimating what it holds.
Kinvent's tier table lists Smart Mode with five sensors on the Premium and Excellence tiers. This pack contains six, so a protocol intended to run every unit at once is worth planning against that figure.
No. Surface EMG is the K-Myo, and it enters the ladder at the Advanced Pack with its accessories. Evolution stops at compression force, tensile force, grip force, air pressure, joint angle and vertical force under the feet.
Yes. Every sensor here pairs wirelessly to the Kinvent app on a phone or tablet, and Kinvent list the plates as compatible with K-Push, K-Pull, K-Power, K-Myo and K-Move. One session can hold a plate trial and a K-Move angle under the same profile, and the app generates the report afterwards.
No. Kinvent publish no warranty term for the K-Force Plates or the other sensors in this pack. What they do publish at company and platform level is CE marking, FDA registration, Health Canada registration, ISO 13485, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 27001:2022, HDS and HIPAA compliance. Ask us before ordering and we will put the warranty question to Kinvent in writing.
