Both are rated to a 150 kg user and both give a 30 cm step-up height. Pick the box if you want a bench and a low profile, and the tower if you want the heavier weight ladder and less floor taken.

Yes, that is what they are for. Each panel is wood-veneered plywood on a solid wood frame, and off the box the pair gives a 30 cm (11.8 in.) step-up height for step work and step-up strength sets. They reattach to the carcass on stainless steel pins and sleeves when you are finished, and the box is a closed wooden chest again.

Shadow is a black-stained real wood-veneered panel, and the other five are their species in real wood veneer over panel and not solid timber. All six are finished in NOHrD's hard wax oil, and the hardware and contents inside the box are identical whichever you pick.

One year from the date of shipment, covering private and commercial use, with repair or replacement at NOHrD's works in Nordhorn or a nominated service centre. Registering the StepBox within that first year takes it to two years on all components and all wooden components. Spare parts carry ninety days. Normal wear and tear, modification and missed maintenance are excluded.

No. There is no power connection on the StepBox, no screen and no Bluetooth, so it can sit in the middle of a room with nothing trailing to a socket. The only unit in the NOHrD all-in-one group that needs a supply is the Wall Compact, which drives a touchscreen training system.

They are NOHrD's hand-stitched leather bells filled with iron granules, the same design sold on its own as the NOHRD Swing Bells set. The StepBox carries three pairs at 2, 4 and 6 kg. The standalone sets run to a fourth pair at 8 kg, so if you already own a set the box gives you a second one rather than an extension of the first.

Hard wax oil is an oiled finish, so a mark can be worked out and re-oiled, so it does not live on the surface for good. The NOHRD Care Set holds 100 ml of wood care oil, 100 ml of lubricant, an abrasive fleece and three microfibre cloths, and NOHrD supplies the same kit for its whole wooden range. The artificial leather top wipes clean with a damp cloth.
