Jugs 18-Baseball Lite-Flite Feeder

The Jugs 18-Baseball Lite-Flite Feeder is a ball feeder that gives the Jugs Lite-Flite Machine extended hands-off, consistent pitching from a drum of 18 Lite-Flite Baseballs. It releases a pitch every 6 seconds, which works out to 1 minute 48 seconds of swings per fill. This 15-pound attachment is durable lightweight steel, easy to carry, and it will not weigh your pitching machine down. It attaches directly to the pad bracket without additional tools. The feeder taps into the same power source used for the Lite-Flite Machine, and one power source runs both.

It takes Lite-Flite Baseballs only: a leather Pearl out of the dugout bucket is outside that rule, and so is a dimpled Sting-Free ball. It suits backyard players, youth leagues, high schools and colleges hitting off a Lite-Flite Machine. Jugs backs it with a 1-year guarantee on all parts, normal wear and factory defects.

Lite-Flite Baseballs come by the dozen or by the bucket. A full drum is a dozen and a half, so two dozen covers a fill with spares for the ones that end up under the net. Keep them in their own bucket.

How it works

Each Jugs feeder takes its own kind of ball, and this one is built around the light ball the Lite-Flite Machine throws.

Only Lite-Flite Baseballs
The feeder takes Lite-Flite Baseballs only. It is built for the Lite-Flite Machine, and the Lite-Flite Machine is a light-ball machine, so the whole assembly is sized and set up around a light ball. A regulation leather baseball is a different object in weight and hardness. Load Lite-Flite Baseballs and nothing else.

The softball feeder is just as strict
Jugs builds a matching 14-Softball Lite-Flite Feeder, and it takes only Lite-Flite Softballs. The two feeders are the same 15-pound steel part with a different drum: 18 baseballs on this feeder, 14 softballs on the softball one. Neither one crosses over, so a program that hits both baseballs and softballs off a Lite-Flite Machine needs both feeders.

The carousel feeders take regulation balls
The rule flips on the Carousel Feeder and the Combo Carousel Feeder. Those two take balls by circumference: 9 in. circumference regulation JUGS Practice Baseballs, or 11 in. and 12 in. circumference regulation weight JUGS Practice Softballs. The machine decides between them: the Lite-Flite feeders mount only on the Lite-Flite Machine, and the carousels fit the other Jugs pitching machines.

Light on the pad bracket
The feeder attaches directly to the pad bracket without additional tools, and the 15-pound attachment is easy to carry. The Lite-Flite Machine is a portable machine that gets carried to a field and set down, and a feeder hung off it becomes part of what you carry. Fifteen pounds of steel with no tools at either end keeps that a one-person job.
