PURPOSE BUILT FOR RUCKING
Our Rucker® is the gym on your back that revolutionized the fitness category of rucking (carrying weight on your back). These bags are purpose built for rucking with an elevated pocket designed for Ruck Plates, reinforced construction, extra padded straps and multiple handles to make it a versatile training tool. The Rucker® is the only rucksack you need to get stronger one rep and one mile at a time.
Tested + Proven - The GORUCK Challenge was born in 2010 to serve as proving grounds for our gear before it went to war. 1,000 Events/year, 175,000+ participants and 200+ Special Forces Cadre later (with no end in sight), the Challenge is the only and most significant quality control program of its kind. No other gear is consistently put through more abuse, and The Rucker® thrives.
Lifetime Gaurantee - You Break It, We Fix It. All GORUCK built gear, apparel, and footwear comes with our Scars Lifetime Guarantee.
The elevated plate pocket keeps the weight high and secure on your back, which is the preferred method for Rucking. This will help prevent any injuries or friction on your back. Both 20L and 25L Rucker feature 2 elevated plate pockets, one that holds 20LB or 30LB (Standard) Ruck Plates and one that holds a 45LB Plate, 20LB (Long), or 30LB (Long). This means your rucker can hold up to 75 lbs of weight. The 15L Rucker has one plate pocket that fits a 10LB, 20LB, or 30 LB Ruck plate.
Say goodbye to friction burn. 210D HT (High Tenacity) CORDURA® on the back panel and underside of the shoulder straps does NOT cause friction burn on your skin and it plays well with less durable fabrics like merino wool.
An additional 10mm of EVA foam padding along the bottom section of the back panel supports the natural curve of your back. It’s raised up, protects you from friction from seams on pants, belts or Tough Leggings or anything back there. And if it’s exposed to your skin, that’s no problem either.
Shoulder straps and top handle are extra padded to carry heavier loads more comfortably. Our dual density foam will not collapse under the pressure.
Clip your hydration bladder into the interior d-ring with a carabiner and feed the hose through the exit port under the top handle of the ruck.
Complete with side molle to integrate perfectly with the padded hip belt. The hip belt allows you to distribute heavy loads to your hips over long periods of time (think the GORUCK Challenge or Star Course) plus keeps the ruck stable during Ruck PT.
Generally speaking, we've found the 20/20 rule holds true:
A 20L Rucker with a 20LB Ruck Plate is a great choice for most people.
Fast vs. Accurate
Height is the fastest way to find your ruck size, but height + torso height is the most accurate
In Between Sizes?
Shoulder carriers generally prefer the ruck to be higher, and hip carriers generally prefer the ruck to be lower.
The belt test is the simplest way to check. The bottom of the rucksack should sit above your belt to avoid friction along the belt line while rucking.
Meauring Torso Height
Torso is measured from the C7 vertebrae (bony bump on top of the neck) to the iliac crest (hip bones), which is usually a few inches above your belt line (the opposite side of your belly button on your back).
20L Rucker | 25L Rucker | |
---|---|---|
Height (Fast) | 5'5" - 6'3" | 6' or taller |
Torso Height (Accurate) | 17.5-19.25" | 19" or taller |
Ruck Height | 18" | 20" |
