Over three decades ago, Austin Air Systems came to life when its founder, the late Richard Taylor, embarked on a mission to aid his wife, Joyce.
Throughout her life, Joyce battled respiratory issues which remained unalleviated by medications or dietary interventions. The duo then identified that the air Joyce breathed was tainted.
Inspired by technology from top medical institutions, Richard endeavored to replicate the one setting where Joyce found solace – her hospital chamber. Employing a mix of True Medical HEPA and Activated Carbon, he crafted a filter that addressed particulate pollution and chemical toxicity.
Remarkably, within a week, Joyce's nights became peaceful and undisturbed.
Initially, Richard manufactured only a handful of units in his personal workshop. However, the subsequent year witnessed the production of roughly 1,500 units in a rented space. Joyce wasn't the sole beneficiary of Richard’s innovation. This invention brought solace to myriad individuals. Presently, Austin Air Systems stands as the foremost air cleaner producer globally.
Modern-day Austin Air upholds its reputation as the pioneering producer of premium filtration systems. With a presence in over 100 nations, the enterprise boasts the most expansive air cleaner production facility globally, encompassing 480,000 square feet. Proudly, all assembly processes occur in Buffalo, New York.
Governmental evaluations revealed that Austin Air surpassed the capabilities of over 100 other air purifiers. Owing to this excellence, esteemed bodies like FEMA and the American Red Cross entrusted Austin during America’s dire moments, be it 9-11, Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Sandy, or the 2015 SoCal gas leak incident in California.
For years, Austin Air purifiers have consistently filtered noxious contaminants emerging during wildfires. In recent times, their purifiers have fortified schools, hospitals, and enterprises, assisting them in enhancing safety measures throughout the COVID-19 outbreak.
Collaborations span esteemed bodies like Johns Hopkins University, the American Academy of Pediatrics, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, the University of Washington, and Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering. Six clinical assessments, all yielding triumphant results.
